Welcome, from Chef, Brian Holding. Beach Almond, established 2010, is a beachfront Palm Cove restaurant celebrating authentic Singaporean, Malaysian, and Indonesian cuisine. Rustic yet refined, we serve five-star flavours with fresh local seafood, Asian street food classics, and fine Australian wines. Dine indoors or outdoors with ocean views.
Beach Almond is known for its chilli mud crab, pepper prawns, crispy whole fish, and lobster specialities— dishes that bring the street-food energy of Singapore, Malaysia, and Indonesia to Palm Cove. Our focus is on fresh local seafood, cooked over flames and layered with authentic spices for unforgettable flavour.
What makes Southeast Asian cuisine truly special? It’s a flavor profile born at a culinary collision point. Along these borders, the heavyweights of Chinese technique and Indian spice culture meet, creating a unique energy. The vibrant cuisines of Malaysia, Singapore, and Indonesia are the perfect, exhilarating result of this delicious fault line.
We are proud of our commitment to quality. Our focus is on sourcing pristine local seafood from the Far North Queensland region, prepared with authentic techniques, including high-heat Wok Hei cooking and slow-cooked aromatic curries. We offer five-star flavours in a truly relaxed, beachfront atmosphere.
Overlooking Double Island and the Coral Sea, Beach Almond has been part of the Palm Cove dining scene for more than a decade. Our open-air restaurant, inspired by the traditional Malaysian Long House (meeting house), reflects the simplicity of Asian street dining while serving five-star flavour. It’s the perfect place for relaxed beachfront dining with friends and family.

Our menu is inspired by years of exploring Southeast Asian street stalls and markets, crossing borders and discovering authentic flavours from Singapore, Malaysia, and Indonesia. Many dishes were born from these journeys, refined and perfected here at Beach Almond.
